PHOENIX HOUSE THERAPY
Telehealth Psychotherapy Services
Greetings! My name is Leslie Bartholomew and I am excited to get to know you and help support your road to healing and change. I have about 14 years of therapeutic experience in a vast array of populations (individuals, teens, children, young adults, couples, foster youth, unaccompanied minors and migrant families).
My passion derives from providing a safe and accepting environment to prepare clients to undergo healing and achieve a full and balanced life. I particularly enjoy giving back to the Latino community which I am a part of and an advocate for equality and a world free from discrimination and abundance of acceptance. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and empowered to reach your personal goals.

CBT
I find that an evidence based modality such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy gives clients the reassurance that it is the most commonly effective and used orientation to address most mental health disorders that is vetted and supported by data. I use it in all domains and populations as it has served best to implement change of behavior for positive outcomes.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy
My experience in focusing on shorter term goals for shorter term therapy has been more for EAP care through employers, or clients that essentially are very self aware and intentional with proactively and progressively engage in behavior change in order to get better. Solution-focused treatment is ideal for cients that are independently driven already going into starting therapy.

Strength-Based Treatment
I feel that each client I serve has unique learning styles, love languages and methods to receive information and feedback that is most effective and understood to them. I implement various interventions and treatment strategies to give the client a unique and personalized treatment plan for their path of healing.

Private pay gives you the freedom to focus on what matters most-your healing and growth. Without insurance limits or required diagnoses, you have complete privacy and flexibility to move at your own pace. It's therapy designed around you, not a policy.

FAQ
I work with individuals, teens, and families. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what's getting in the way of balance and connection. Whether we're focusing on anxiety, communication, ADHD, or simply life transitions, our work will be personalized to your needs.
Everyone's journey is different. Some clients find a few months of therapy helps them gain clarity and new coping tools, while others prefer longer-term work to explore deeper patterns and growth. We'll talk openly about your goals and check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to feel meaningful and helpful to you.
Phoenix House Therapy is a private pay practice, which means I don't bill insurances directly. However, I can provide a superbill-a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Some clients are able to get a portion of their sessions covered this way.
I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who need financial flexibility.
Through my client portal and booking link, https://phoenixhousetherapyappointments.clientsecure.me , you can pay via credit card, Zelle, HSA debit card or bank transfer. Auto payment set up is also available for your convenience and will be billed at the end of completed session.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and take place once a week to start. Depending on your needs and schedule, we can adjust frequency over time. Consistency helps build momentum, but I'm always open to finding a rhythm that works best for you.
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This allows me to offer the time to another client who may be waiting. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency or illness.
You can reach out through the contact form on my website or email me directly. Once we connect, we'll schedule a brief consultation to see if we're a good fit and set up your first appointment. I currently offer telehealth sessions only.
The first session is about getting to know you-your story, what's bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to get out of it. We'll move at your pace, and there's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. My goal is for you to leave the first meeting feeling understood, supported, and unjudged.
Immigration psychiatric evaluations are usually done in 1-2 sessions, depending on the complexity of your case. Interviews are conducted via video call and payment is expected at first interview. A potential client can provide me with their legal representative for me to reach out and connect to work collaboratively, or the attorney can reach out to me directly to start the process.
I am fluent in Spanish and can conduct sessions or interviews in language. If you prefer to bring a professional interpreter, I am open to working with one as well on your behalf.
I'm more than happy to meet with you for 15 minutes to answer any questions that you have before proceeding to go with Phoenix House. Feel free to email me at lmftbartholomew@gmail.com or book a consultation time at https://phoenixhousetherapyappointments.clientsecure.me
